Iran Welcomes Assad's Reforms Plan

TEHRAN (FNA)- Senior Iranian Foreign Ministry officials hailed the reforms plan introduced by the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and expressed the hope that people and the government in the Arab state would soon resolve problems through dialogue.
"Iran welcomes reforms launched by President Bashar al-Assad," Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentary and Expatriates' Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday.

Qashqavi further stated that Tehran is confident that the Syrian people and government would resolve problems and achieve the national development through constructive dialogue and rejection of violence.

He added that Iran condemns any foreign instigation, particularly the American-Zionist project which aims to weaken resistance against the Zionist regime of Israel and West's hegemonic policies in the region.
