China's direct investments abroad in 2010 reach $69 bln.
BEIJING, September 6 (Itar-Tass) -- The volume of China's direct
investments abroad in 2010 reached 68.81 billion US dollars, which is 21.7
percent higher than in 2009. Thus, according to the data published by the
Chinese Trade Ministry and the State Statistics Department of the country,
the given index continues stably growing over the last nine years.
Over the given period, China's investments in non-financial sectors of
economies of other countries amounted to 60.18 billion dollars, and in
financial ones - - to 8.63 billion dollars. According to the latest data,
Chinese enterprises set up about 16,000 companies in 178 countries of the
world which mainly work in such spheres as industry, banking business,
infrastructural building, extraction of mineral resources and transport.
In 2010, China left behind Japan and Great Britain in the general
volume of investments abroad and occupied the fifth place in the world
according to this index.
