NBK gold/forex reserves in Jan-Aug grow 28 %

ALMATY, September 6 (Itar-Tass) -- Net gold and foreign currency
reserves of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) increased by 28 percent
over seven months of this year.
"Net gold and foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of
Kazakhstan in January-August of the current year increased by 27.93
percent and reached 35.451 billion dollars," the bank reports on Tuesday.
In august, net gold and foreign currency reserves decreased by 2.67
percent - - net foreign currency reserves by 4.27 percent, assets in gold
grew by 13.16 percent.
Assets of the National Bank of Kazakhstan of the country at the end of
August amounted to 40.35 billion dollars, increasing by 30.25 percent as
of the beginning of 2011.
