Medvedev, Noda discuss Russia-Japan bilateral ties.

MOSCOW, September 6 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
has discussed bilateral relations in different sectors with Japan's new
Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.
The telephone conversation took place at Japan's initiative, the
Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.
Medvedev congratulated Noda upon his election to the post.
Noda in turn expressed gratitude for Russia's assistance in
eliminating effects of the natural and technogenic disaster that hit Japan
last March.
"During the talks the sides expressed their mutual intention for
continuing a constructive dialogue at the high level. The Russian
president and the Japanese prime minister called for further development
of bilateral relations in trade, economy, investments, scientific,
technological and humanitarian sectors on the basis of friendship and good
neighbourliness," the press service said.
