Int'l railway show Expo-1,520 opens in Shcherbinka Wed.

SHCHERBINKA, Moscow Region, September 7 (Itar-Tass) - The 3rd
international railway show Expo-1,520 opens here on Wednesday, with
railwaymen and industrialists from 18 countries participating.
The largest sectoral forum in Russia and Eastern Europe is to be take
place in the circuits of the Experimental ring railway where all new
rolling stock undergoes testing before coming into permanent operation.
For the convenience of specialists, the entire exhibition is divided
into eight thematic sections such as, for example, "Railway Machinery and
Technologies", "Components and Units", "Passenger Transport", "Information
Technologies", etc. Railway loconotives and carriages both the newest ones
and rarities will be also show at this impressive-in-scope exhibition.
Over ten various roundtable meetings and presentations are expected to
be held within the scope of the railway show. On the closing day of the
forum, Sept 10, members of the general public will be able to come here,
have a good time and see for themselves the future of the country's
railway transport.
