Iran Ready to Train Afghan Medical Teams

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior official of Iran's Red Crescent Society announced Tehran's readiness to train Afghan medical teams, and invited them to attend a related forum to be held by the IRCS in Iran later this year.
"If the officials of the friendly and brotherly country of Afghanistan show willingness, the paradigms used by IRCS's Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center can be taught to the Afghan physicians," Head of the Center Seyed Ali Riyaz said in a meeting with Afghanistan's Minister of Hajj and Islamic Affairs here in Tehran on Wednesday.
He referred to the first national medical conference on Hajj and Pilgrimage to be held by the IRCS, and invited Afghan physicians to participate in the scientific forum.
Iran and Afghanistan enjoy expanding ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries' officials.
Iran is one of the most important donors to Afghanistan which has kept its promises and helped to the reconstruction of the war-hit country.
Iran has built several roads, power transmission lines, and border stations, among other infrastructural projects.
