Laos hosts 35th SEASA Games

VIENTIANE,SEPT7.(KPL)- The 35th shooting competition for Southeast Asia known as SEASA Games is being organized in Vientiane on September 6-13 at the National Sport Complex.
The event draws competitors from 11 countries and territories, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
There are ten events for men categories and seven events for women categories.
The competition is for deciding 34 gold medalists, 34 silver medalists and 34 bronze medalists.
“The aim of the competition is not only to assess the competence of the athletes but also enhance the exchange of lesson and experiences in shooting sport development in Asean countries and the participating countries to increase their competence at international arena as well as increasingly enhance solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding among athletes and peoples in the region in order to transform Southeast Asia into a region of cooperation and development,” said President of National Shooting Federation Maj. Gen. Sanyahack Phomvihane.
