Russia against interference in Lebanon -- FM.

MOSCOW, September 8 (Itar-Tass) -- External interference in Lebanon is
unacceptable, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said.
"Moscow is closely watching the situation in Lebanon. Our position of
principle with regard to that country has to changed: we stand for the
strengthening of Lebanon's sovereignty, political independence and
territorial integrity and unity," Bogdanov said in an interview with
Itar-Tass on Wednesday, September 7.
"Deep political disagreements remain between different Lebanese
forces. Therefore it is important to continue the search for a solution to
problems on the national agenda on the basis of broad dialogue in the
interests of all Lebanese people irrespective of their ethnic or religious
background. We have noted President Michel Suleiman's initiative of July
16 aimed at resuming the work of the National Dialogue Conference," he
said.
