Peace walk marks the 60th anniversary of International World Peace Day
(KPL) The Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity and Foreign Relations Committee held a walk to commemorate International World Peace Day and anniversary of the 60 at Patouxay Park, Vientiane Capital on 20 September.
The mass walk, made up mainly of government officials and residents of Vientiane, was led by the President of Lao Committee for Peace and Solidarity, Mr. Khamphan Simmalavong.
The aim of the walk is to promote peace and to call for the cessation of the ongoing-armed conflicts in the world.
