Russian economy exits from crisis, but growth could be faster - IMF.
WASHINGTON, September 10 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian economy continues
to recover from the recent crisis, although its growth rates could be
greater, as follows from an assessment by the IMF, made at a meeting of
the Board of Directors, which discussed the results of another survey of
the Russian economy. The IMF conducts such surveys annually in all member
countries of the organization.
As it has become known to Itar-Tass from reliable sources in the Fund,
the discussion on Russia was smooth and the expert report, prepared
beforehand, did not cause any questions and objections. The key thesis of
that document states that in Russia there is proceeding recovery from the
crisis, but growth is relatively modest, and inflation, is high.
