CAIRO, September 10 (Itar-Tass) -- The number of casualties in the
ongoing rioting in front of the Israeli embassy in Cairo has increased to
219. According to Egyptian television, one person has died of a heart
attack.
Meanwhile, the police have sent reinforcements to protect the embassy,
as well as the nearby police station. Trying to fight off the raging
crowd, police opened fire into the air with live ammunition and used tear
gas, forcing the attackers to retreat into the neighboring streets.
