Fifth Russian banking festival to open in Montenegro

BECICI, Montenegro, September 11 (Itar-Tass) - The Montenegrin town of Becici has become the venue of the fifth Russian national banking festival and a forum on the Russian economy in the 21st century and factors stimulating and deterring the development of the Russian banking system.
The topics on the forum's agenda include monetary policy and
crediting, the bank regulation reform, anti-corruption policy as a
component of the country's economic security and the strategy of
development of the Russian banking sector until 2015.
The delegates will also deliver reports on the present stage in the development of the Russian banking system, the key problems and future tasks, the development of financial and banking systems in conditions of globalisation, the peculiarities of competition in the Russian banking system and new social-economic conditions for the operation of commercial banks in the post-crisis period.
Garegin Tosunyan, the president of the Association of Russian Banks, Lyubov Sliska, the vice-speaker of the Russian State Duma, Russian Ambassador to Montenegro Andrei Nesterenko as well as representatives of the government of Montenegro, the Budva town hall and the Association of Montenegrin Banks will deliver opening speeches at the forum.
The participants in the forum and the festival also include Alexander Torshin, the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, Viktor Gerashchenko, the Expert Council chairman, Pavel Medvedev, the chairman of a subcommittee for legislation on banks and banking activities of the Russian State Duma, and Vladimir Vasilyev, the chairman of the State Duma Committee for Security.
