RF, NKorea armed forces may hold joint exercise next yr-Japan daily
TOKYO, September 13 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian and North Korean armed
forces may hold their first joint defence exercises already next year, the
Japanese newspaper Asahi said on Tuesday.
According to the newspaper, the Navies and the Air Forces of the two
countries will conduct manoeuvres in the sea.
The exercises will be held in accordance with the agreements reached
last month during North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's visit to Russia and
his meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the Asahi noted,
referring to a source close to Pyongyang.
