TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Air Force is scheduled to conduct night raids on fixed and mobile targets during the third stage of the massive air drills underway in Northwestern Iran tonight.
"Tonight and on the first night of the third stage of the Fadaeeyan-e Harim-e Vellayat III air drills, the Air Force fighter jets will conduct shooting operations at night," Air Force Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Chitforoush, the spokesperson of the air drills, told FNA on Tuesday.
"The fighter-bombers of the Army's Air Force will hit fixed and mobile targets with missiles in several operations tonight," the spokesman added.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) on Tuesday started the main phase of its four-staged air drills with testing live munitions and missiles.
The new phase was officially started in a ceremony attended by Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdul-Rahim Mousavi and IRIAF Commander Brigadier General Hassan Shahsafi in Northwestern Iran today.
