Kulov ousted as faction leader in Kyrgyz parliament
BISHKEK, September 13 (Itar-Tass) - Leader of the Ar-Namys ("Dignity") faction at the Kyrgyzstan's parliament Felix Kulov was ousted from the post on Tuesday. The decision to vote Kulov down was made by a majority in his faction, the parliament's administration told Itar-Tass.
"Indeed, we made such a decision in connection with the fact that
Kulov has been negligent of his duties of late, and refused to implement
promising guidelines for the activity of the party's faction in
parliament," an Ar-Namys faction activist said.
Ar-Namys is the third largest party out of five factions in the Kyrgyz parliament by representation. However, it is not part of the ruling coalition.
Earlier, several Ar-Namys members stated their readiness to join the
ruling coalition. Kulov was opposed to their move.
