Patriarch Kirill to arrive in Ukraine Wed for his 8th visit.
KIEV, September 14 (Itar-Tass) - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All
Russia on Wednesday begins his two-day primatial visit to Ukraine. This
will be his eighth visit here since he was elected to head the Russian
Orthodox Church (ROC).
In the evening he will arrive in Lugansk to visit the Vladimir
Cathedral, the press service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church announced. .
The main events on the programme are scheduled for September 15. The
Primate of the ROC will lead a Divine Liturgy in theTheatre Square of
Lugansk. Then he will attend a ceremony marking the laying of wreaths at
the Unknown Soldier's Tomb in the Square of Heroes of the Great Patriotic
War of 1941-1945 and lay the foundation stone of a church to be built in
Lugansk in honour of the Icon of the Mother of God "Eleusa".
