Free medical operation for burnt scars available at Mahosot
VIENTIANE,SEPT.14(KPL)- Medical experts from the Interplast Australia & New Zealand are now providing free-of-charge medical operation for people with burnt wounds at the Mahosot Hospital in Vientiane.
The operation is aimed at helping over 50 patients with burn scars operated on September 12-23. The operation is available for general public members with burnt scars on the said dates.
As of September 12, forty two people with burnt scars have registered for such medical operation with the hospital.
Such medical operation has been practiced for several years on annual basis and it partly represents the cooperation between Laos and Australian.
Present at the opening ceremony for the humanitarianly medical operation were Minister of Health Dr. Eksavang Vongvichith, and Australian Ambassador to the Lao PDR Lynda Worthaisong, and relevant officials.
