S. Korea, China to hold meeting for economic cooperation
SEOUL (Yonhap) - South Korea and China will hold a meeting later this month to exchange views on current economic conditions and discuss possible policy cooperation, the finance ministry here said Friday.
Finance Minister Bahk Jae-wan and other senior policymakers of South Korea will meet with their Chinese counterparts in Seoul on Sept. 28, according to the ministry.
The Chinese delegation will be led by Zhang Ping, the chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, a key economic policymaking body for China, it added.
This marks the 10th gathering between finance and economic chiefs of the two nations since it was upgraded to a ministerial meeting in 1999.
They will exchange views on the current macroeconomic conditions of the two nations and discuss cooperation in key policies related to inflation, energy conservation, the environment and real estate markets, the ministry said.
