Putin to address Sochi investment forum

SOCHI, September 16 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin will address the X International Investment Forum in Sochi on Friday
and explain to politicians and businessmen what the government will do to
attract foreign investments into the country.
Putin will be also present at the signing of several investment
agreements, including on South Stream gas pipeline construction, the
production of Ford cars and engines in Russia, and on the creation of a
joint venture between Inter RAO UES, the United Engine Corporation, and
General Electric.
Putin will also participate in the name-giving ceremony to an
ice-class research vessel that will carry out geophysical research on the
Russian continental Arctic shelf. However the Vyacheslav Tikhonov ship is
expected to begin operations this month in the Black Sea near Tuapse.
