Medvedev to meet top Chinese legislator

MOSCOW, September 16 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
will meet China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, on Friday to discuss
cooperation and promote joint projects.
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress
(NPC) Wu arrived in Russia on a four-day visit on Wednesday. It is the
first leg of his four-nation Eurasian tour which will also take him to
Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
"At the upcoming meeting between Dmitry Medvedev and Wu Bangguo it is
planned to discuss vital issues of Russian-Chinese bilateral cooperation
and international cooperation. The parties will consider the state and
ways to mount inter-parliamentary contacts and additional possibilities to
implement joint projects in high-tech and energy spheres," the Kremlin
said.
