Spokesman: Iran's N. Progress Undeterred

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast stressed that the plots hatched by Iran's enemies have failed to deter Iran's progress in the field of civilian nuclear technology.
Addressing a group of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy commanders, top officers and staff, the spokesman assured that despite enemies' opposition and plots, Iran's peaceful nuclear activities go on well in their natural course.

The plots and efforts made by the enemies of the Islamic Republic, the Islamic Revolution is moving on its path very strongly, thanks to the wise leadership of dear Imam, national unity and the nation's adherence to Islamic principles and values.

Mehman-Parast had also stressed in his earlier remarks on Tuesday that Iran would not give up its "peaceful" nuclear activities.

He said Tehran would continue uranium enrichment to supply fuel for its Bushehr nuclear power plant as well as the other nuclear power plants that it intends to build in the near future.

The spokesman also added in his Tuesday remarks that Iran is continuing its peaceful nuclear activities and believes that dialogue is helpful for cooperation.

Meantime, the spokesman underlined that Iran will continue cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), but at the same time wants to see a full materialization of its rights, an Iranian spokesman reiterated on Tuesday.

"As we have repeatedly announced, our nuclear activity is fully peaceful and this has been acknowledged in several IAEA reports," Mehman-Parast said.

"We are continuing cooperation with the agency and conducting our activities under the supervision of the organization (IAEA)," Mehman-Parast stated, and added, "and we should fully enjoy all our rights in light of this cooperation."

Meantime, he voiced Iran's preparedness to hold talks with the world powers on common points, and underscored, "We are doing our nuclear activities within a peaceful framework. We consider these talks useful for effective and constructive cooperation and we have voiced our preparedness."
