Centre may delegate certain authorities to regions - view
NALCHIK, September 18 (Itar-Tass) -- Head of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen
Kanokov following discussions at the investment forum in Sochi suggested
having decentralisation of management of Russian regions, his press
service reports.
"I believe, not all problems can be solved in Moscow, as there are
issues, which to a big extent may be delegated to regional authorities,
because here many nuances are more clear," press service quoted him as
saying. "This is why the regions are asking to trust them more, and I am
sure we shall not fail the centre."
Kanokov called as 'very useful' the detailed discussion of issues
related to inter-budget relations and other financial instruments, which
may improve prompt development of regions. Activity of investors in the
regions "depends to a big extent from the conditions the local authorities
provide and also from how serious the credit of trust to the region is."
