Gov't orders 7 savings banks to suspend operations

SEOUL, Sept. 18 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's government regulators ordered seven ailing savings banks to suspend operations following a detailed review of capital adequacy ratios. The move affects Tomato and Jeil savings banks and five other institutions, the Financial Services Commission said.
