STX OSV wins 150 bln won deal for 3 trawlers
SEOUL, Sept. 20 (Yonhap) -- STX OSV Holdings Ltd., a European unit of South Korean shipbuilding conglomerate STX Group, has won a 150 billion won (US$130 million) deal to build three trawlers, the group said Tuesday.
Under the deal with Aker Seafoods ASA of Norway, STX OSV will deliver the vessels starting from the second quarter of 2013, it said.
The 1,500-ton ships will each be 70 meters long and constructed at STX OSV's shipyards in Norway and Brazil, it added.
STX OSV, which focuses on offshore plants and specialized ships, started trading its shares on the Singapore Exchange on Nov. 12 last year.
Shares of STX Corp., the group's de facto holding firm, were trading at 16,200 won on the Seoul bourse as of 1:20 p.m., down 0.61 percent.
