Ahmadinejad Stresses Consolidation of Relations with Comoros

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Comorian Presidents underlined the need for the further expansion and consolidation of the two countries' relations in various sectors.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Comorian counterpart Ikililou Dhoinine made the remarks in a meeting on the sidelines of the 66th UN General Assembly session in New York.
At the meeting, Ahmadinejad viewed the two sides' relations as strong and brotherly, and added, "There is not impediment to the further expansion of relations between the two states."
"All the possible capacities must be utilized to further develop the relations between the two countries to the maximum level," he added.
The Comorian chief executive, for his part, noted Iran's superior position in regional and international developments, and stressed, "The republic of Comoros attaches special importance to the growing expansion of mutual and regional ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
He also asked for the further reinvigoration of the two countries' relations and cooperation in educational, energy, agricultural and transportation grounds.
