S. Korea's ruling party chief to visit N. Korea: source

SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's ruling party chief plans to visit North Korea in the near future, a ruling camp source said, a move that could help ease high tensions between the two rival states.
North Korea has also agreed to the planned visit by Rep. Hong Joon-pyo of the Grand National Party, the source said, without providing further specifics such as when and where in North Korea Hong will visit.
Hong has called for breaking the deadlock in Seoul's relations with Pyongyang.
Earlier this month, Hong said he is willing to visit a joint inter-Korean industrial complex in the North Korean border city of Kaesong.
The ties between the two sides plunged to the lowest level in decades after North Korea's two deadly attacks on the South last year.
