Turkey's EU minister holding talks in European Parliament
STRASBOURG (A.A) - September 28, 2011 - Turkish Minister for European Union Egemen Bagis began his talks at European Parliament on Wednesday.
Bagis held meetings with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule and Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmstrom.
European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Chair Gabriele Albertini, Co-president of the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee Helene Flautre, Socialist Group Chairman Martin Schultz and Greens Group Co-chairs Rebecca Harms and Daniel Cohn Bendit were the other officials Bagis held meetings at EP.
Bagis will also meet vice-president & commissioner for inter-institutional relations Maros Sefcovic and sign a memorandum of understanding on assignment of Turkish experts in European Commission.
He will then deliver a speech at a meeting on Turkey-EU visa relations.
Following his meeting with Turkey rapporteur Ria Oomen-Ruijten, Bagis will attend a gathering which will be hosted by Turkish businessmen associations in France.
