MOFA discusses women’s advancement
VIENTIANE,SEPT.28(KPL)- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday held a meeting on the advancement of women with the participation of over 50 officials in the Ministry.
“The government attaches great attention to the promotion of women’s advancement and this is represented by its approval of policy on promoting the advancement of women as well as the establishment of the Lao National Commission for the Advancement of Women,” said Ms. Sounthone Sayachack, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“The promotion of women’s advancement is attached with attention by every government worldwide. Particularly in the Lao PDR, women share over 50 per cent of the population,” said Mrs. Sounthone.
“I hope this meeting will help further enrich knowledge of the promotion of Women’s advancement and gender role of the participants,” said Mrs. Sounthone.
