Russian president says no pre-determination in election outcome
MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
says the outcome of either parliamentary or presidential elections may not
be described as predetermined.
"It is up to the people to make a choice," he said in an interview
with Russian television. "What pre-determinacy you are talking about? Let
the people decide whom they will vote for," he said. "Let them decide
either to support this or that political force or to vote in down."
According to the president, the current situation is by no means a
fixed one and any politician may either win or lose the elections. "This
is what is called democracy," he stressed.
