Space launch postponed at Plesetsk.
MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket
booster carrying the Glonass-M space satellite onboard has been put off
for 24 hours because of bad weather.
"The Soyuz-2.1b rocket booster with a global navigation satellite
onboard was supposed to have lifted off from a launcher at the Plesetsk
space launch site this night. However, it was decided to postpone the
launch for another 24 hours because of unfavourable weather conditions,
including side wind at an altitude of 7-10 kilometres," Colonel Aleksey
Zolotukhin, the spokesperson for the Russian Space Troops, told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
