Autistic teen missing in Sydney
SYDNEY (AAP) - Oct. 03 - Concern is mounting for an autistic teenager who has gone missing on Sydney's north shore.
Fifteen-year-old William Clarke was last seen by his family about 7.30am (AEDT) on Monday morning.
The teenager, who is described as being Caucasian, about 183cm tall with a thin build, short brown hair and brown eyes, had gone to ride his scooter but failed to return home.
His family contacted police at 3pm (AEDT).
A police spokesman said concern is mounting as it gets dark.
"I would be concerned merely because he is an autistic child ... obviously as it gets closer to sunset our concerns increase," the spokesman told AAP on Monday evening.
He said a search was underway and urged anyone with information regarding the teenager's whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
