GS Engineering wins US$592.8 order from Indonesia
SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) -- GS Engineering & Construction Corp., South Korea's third-largest builder, has clinched a US$592.8 million deal to build a refining plant in Indonesia, an industry source said Tuesday.
Under the deal with PT Pertamina, Indonesia's state-run gas company, GS Engineering will build a facility with a daily capacity of processing 62,000 barrels of heavy oil in Cilacap, some 500 kilometers southeast of Jakarta, according to the source.
The construction will be completed by the end of 2014, it added.
Shares of GS Engineering closed at 87,100 won (US$73) on the Seoul bourse, down 11 percent from the previous session.
