About 500,000 Kyrgyz citizens living in Russia at present.

BISHKEK, October 7 (Itar-Tass) -- At present, according to preliminary
counts, about 500,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are staying on the territory
of the Russian Federation, State-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Asein
Isayev told a press conference in Bishkek on Friday.
According to him, "some 60,000 people are working in neighbouring
Kazakhstan, 5,000 - - in Italy, 3,000 - - in South Korea." "It is
necessary to underline that these are able-bodied citizens," Isayev added.
"They not only earn money there, but learn advanced methods of labour.
And we hope that sometime they will apply their habits in Kyrgyzstan as
well," the state-secretary said in conclusion.
