Iran Exports $497mln Worth of Non-Oil Goods to Turkey in 5 Months

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran exported nearly 497 million U.S. dollars worth of non-oil goods to Turkey during the first five months of the current Iranian year starting from March 21.
Cathode, propylene and copper pipes were among the main items exported to Turkey during the period, press tv quoted Director of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Hamid Safdel as saying.

Given the two countries' infrastructures, the level of Iran-Turkey trade and industrial transactions will probably climb further, Safdel said, adding that the target of 30 billion dollars of bilateral trade volume is expected to be achieved by 2015.

Expediting establishing joint industrial townships, funds or banks, exchanging trade delegations and holding exhibitions will help further promoting relations between the two countries, he was quoted as saying.

Iran and Turkey's trade values reportedly reached 11 billion dollars in 2010, compared with one billion dollars in 2000. The two countries have agreed to increase their annual trade volume to 30 billion dollars by 2015.
