Afghan police cadets being trained in Turkey

SIVAS (A.A) - October 12, 2011 - Afghan police cadets have been attending a six-month course at a training center in central province of Sivas.
The training center has been providing professional instruction to 492 Afghan police officer candidates who were drawn from all regions of Afghanistan and who came to Sivas on July 14, 2011. 
Afghan youths are getting training under the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in training of Afghan National Police signed by Turkey and Afghanistan.
NATO, the United States and Japan also extend assistance to training of Afghan police officer candidates. 
Afghan youths are also benefiting from social, cultural and sports facilities there.
Amingul Apghanyar, one of police officer candidates, told AA correspondent that they would never forget what Turkey did for Afghan people.
