Riyadh and Tehran must adopt unified stance to thwart plots

TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) -- The recent allegation made by the United States, in which Iranian officials were accused of plotting to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington, is another phase of the U.S. propaganda program devised to sow discord between Islamic countries.
As a result of the recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa, the Zionist regime has become extremely isolated, and the U.S. government has also been crippled by the recent wave of demonstrations on Wall Street. Thus, the latest accusation can be viewed as a diversionary tactic meant to serve the malicious interests of Israel and the United States.

However, Islamic countries have always adopted a unified stance toward Western plots in the past. This is one of the most significant features of the Islamic world, which has played a major role in neutralizing threats at critical junctures in history.

The current media frenzy about Iran once again necessitates the adoption of such a unified stance, along with Tehran’s clarification of the importance of this Islamic alliance. This policy will greatly help the efforts to stymie the propaganda machine targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran must emphasize the necessity of the alliance, beyond the usual agreements between Islamic states such as Iran and Saudi Arabia.

This clarification policy will help Iran convey the message to the international community that the country has no need to plot against other Islamic states, but rather is seeking common ground and cooperation.

As a victim of terrorist activities, Iran has made the utmost efforts to fight against terrorism and can not be accused of being involved in such operations.

Tehran and Riyadh must adopt a unified stance in order to inform the world about this fact and thwart the latest plot.
