Qatar Culture Ministry to Organize First Doha Festival for Professional Dramatists

Doha, November 30 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage is preparing to launch the first Doha festival for professional dramatists which will be held from the beginning of March and runs until 27th of the same month, when World Theatre Day will be marked. The first Doha festival, which will be held at the same time each year, aims to activate and develop the theatrical scene through performing excellent drama shows to be characterized by their intellectual trends and production as well as tackled issues. The festival aims to develop awareness about the theatre among talented youth through holding seminars that support and encourage local talents in this field, as well as to discover talents and technical capabilities of young dramatist in the State of Qatar to prepare them well.
