Chinese Ambassador holds reception for China’s National Day
(KPL) On Thursday night, Chinese Ambassador Pan Guangxue and his wife held a reception at the Lao Plaza Hotel to celebrate the 59th anniversary of China’s National Day.
The participants included Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavath Lengsavad, ministers, deputy ministers, government officials.
The diplomatic corps and representative of international organisation were also invited to the reception.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Pan Guangxue expressed thanks and gratitude to the Lao government and world community for their great supports and assistance to Chinese government and people.
He said that in early of 2008, the China has faced many natural disasters, which destroyed a number of poverty and lives. During the hard time, a number of assistance has come to China from the world community, said Chinese Ambassador.On this occasion, the Chinese Ambassador also highlighted a number of achievements gained by government and people of China during the past 59 years, especially the results of 29th Olympic Games hosted by China.
He also talked about the launching of the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7 at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Thursday.
