Water supply is one of basic human needs which is directly related to human lives. Water supply facilities have been constructed in Nakham and Phongnam villages, Khamkeut district, Bolikhamxay province.
With the water supply facilities, residents in two villages will be able to enjoy access to clean and safe drinking water whenever they need. Until now villagers have suffered unsafe drinking water which has often caused waterborne diseases such as diarrhea.
These water supply systems will also enable villagers, children and women in particular to free themselves from the hard work of bringing water home. It is hoped that this grant assistance will contribute to improving local people’s living conditions and the overall socio-economic development in Laos
