FM: Certain Western Countries Trying To Hamper Iran’s Progress

Tehran, Jan 4, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Tuesday said certain western countries are mounting pressures on Iran in a bid to hamper the country's progress.
Salehi made the remark in a meeting with outgoing Guinean Ambassador to Tehran Abdol Karim Joubani.
Salehi said the Iranian government and nation are successfully treading the path of development and progress, being determined to safeguard the country's independence and freedom by relying on Al-Mighty God.
“Expansion of ties with African countries is Iran’s top priority in its foreign policy,' he added.
The Guinean ambassador who had met Salehi to bid farewell to him, outlined the latest conditions and developments in his country.
He called on Iran to continue mutual cooperation with Guinea and help it attain political and economic development./end
