Chavez: Ahmadinejad Remarks Echo Inner Feelings Of World People

Caracas, Jan 10, IRNA – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said the remarks of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad echo the inner feelings of millions of world people. He said millions of people in Africa, Asia and even Europe are presently waiting restlessly to see Ahmadinejad in their countries. Making the remark during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Monday evening local time, Chavez also said that the US was unhappy with Ahmadinejad’s visit to Venezuela because Washington was scared of spread of Iran’s ideas and ideals across the world. He said hegemonic powers worried that the joint voices of Iran and Venezuela which echo freedom, honor and justice will shake the columns of their dominance. President Ahmadinejad arrived here Monday afternoon on the first leg of a four-nation Latin America tour that will also take him to Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador./end
