HE Nasser Al Nasr Holds Political Talks with French FM

Paris , February 06 (QNA) - The UN General Assembly President HE Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al -Nasr (Qatar) conferred here on Monday with French Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe on the latest developments of the Syrian Crisis. While in France HE Al-Nasr participated in the Rio+20 - United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, and held political talks with a number of high- profile French figures focusing on the Palestinian cause, in the light of the recent Israeli - Palestinian negotiations. The current situation in Somalia along with other issues listed on the conference's agenda were also taken up. HE Al Nasr met as well with Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, and President of the Social, Economic, and Environmental Council of France, Jean-Paul Delevoye. At the meetings, the upcoming crucial issues listed on the UN General Assembly agenda including the issue of mediation to resolve disputes peacefully, the sustainable development, global financial crisis, effective ways to deal with natural catastrophes, and the culture of peace, were also discussed.
