Iranian Cultural Week held in Bangkok

BANGKOK, February 8 (TNA) - Bangkok-based Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Arts and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran are jointly organizing the “Iranian-Thai Cultural Week” at the Thai university to promote cultural relations between the two countries. The event marks three auspicious occasions, including long-time relations both countries have enjoyed for 330 years since the reign of King Narai the Great of Thailand, the 33rd foundation anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the 230th anniversary of both Iran and Thailand’s capital, Tehran and Bangkok. The Iranian-Thai Cultural Week features wide array of Iranian arts and cultures, ranging from Iranian film screenings, photo and book exhibitions, live music performances, national Persian drawings by Iranian artists to crafts and national costume. Samples of Iranian cuisine are also offered during the week. (TNA)
