Minister of Education Endorses Qatar GSC Results

Doha , February 08 (QNA) - HE Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education and the Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) endorsed on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 the results of term 1 of the Qatar General Secondary Certificate. Director of SEC Students' Assessment Office Fahd Ali Al Na'ma said that results showed improvement compared to last academic year, describing the success rate as good. In a press release, Al Na'ma encouraged the students to exert further efforts for term 2 in pursuit of higher achievements. He said that 5250 students sat for exams including 3671 in Art (Mathematics and Science) discipline,1233 from the scientific discipline , 146 Art (French) discipline, 68 and 132 students for religious and business studies respectively. He noted that the results will be handed over to the certificates equivalence office on the C Ring Road tomorrow Thursday. (QNA)
