RasGas Installs Giant Banner to Mark National Sports Day

Doha, February 12 (QNA) - RasGas Company has installed at its new headquarters in West Bay a huge sports themed banner, weighing over 1,000kgs, to celebrate Qatar National Sports Day (NSD) on February 14. The (NSD) celebrations and spreading awareness on the benefits of pursuing sports and a healthy lifestyle are part of the company's ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, RasGas said Sunday in a media statement. The banner, which is said to be the largest in Qatar, marks the beginning of RasGas' 2012 Year of Health campaign, which will be officially launched on February 14. RasGas is collaborating with the Aspire Zone Foundation - the Middle East's premier sports city and the world's leading sports tourism development project on the morning of NSD to provide its employees and their families with a unique fun-filled sports experience. The programme will include an expertly tailored group exercise session and all RasGas employees will also have the exclusive opportunity to join Aspire Zone's dedicated indoor and outdoor multi-sport activities provided during the day. RasGas has nominated 2012 as the 'Year of Health' and is rolling-out a campaign to support health awareness with special emphasis placed on nutrition, exercise and healthy lifestyle for RasGas employees, their families and the wider community.
