Doha Food Festival Attracts 60,000 Visitors

Doha, February 12 (QNA) - Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) said that more than 60 thousand people visited the third Doha Food Festival which was organized by QTA in the period from 8 to 11 February with the participation of more than 75 of the most prominent restaurants, cafes and hotels operating in Doha. In the festival, which was held under the slogan "Taste and Enjoy" delicious food was served with colors and varieties ranging from Arab, Asian, Mexican and European cuisines, as well as luxury dishes prepared by High-end restaurants. Chairman of the QTA, Ahmed Al Nuaimi said that Doha's annual Food Festival has become one of the main events that target the local community. He added that the festival reflected the diversity that distinguishes the Qatari society as this year's round focused on the elements of Japanese culture on the occasion of 40 years on Qatari-Japanese relations. The festival included a number of recreational activities including magic shows, children events and Japanese cuisine show. The final day witnessed giving a number of chefs’ gold, silver and bronze awards. (QNA)
