Qatar National Sports Day Events Begin

Doha, February 14 (QNA) - National Sports Day events began today at 9 a.m. on the Corniche with a sport marches organised by Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC). Dignitaries and all segments of the society, citizens and residents, participated in the marches, which started from Islamic Museum Park to Oryx Area and From Sheraton Park to Oryx Area. The Olympic Committee made great preparations to make the country a sports ground to accommodate all citizens and residents of different ages and from all parties in the state. In this context, the committee opened sports fields and facilities across the country to the public to allow them practicing sports. In addition, the QOC has prepared a big tent for VIP Guests and another tent for electronic shooting competitions in coordination with the Qatar Shooting and Archery Federation in the Yard beside General Post Office.
