Lao-German cooperation in human resource development reviewed
(KPL) The German Development Service (DED)-Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst held a meeting on 2 October at Laos-Japan Cooperation Centre, Vientiane to review and conclude technical assistance in human resource development and previous cooperation between Laos and Germany.
The event was co-chaired by Mr Somchit Inthamit, Head of Cooperation Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment and German Ambassador in Laos, Dr Peter Wienand that drew 28 participants from both sides.
The DED has dispatched developers to help in human resource development in Laos for 16 years by focusing on rural development and sustainable economic development.
The DED focuses on rural development in northern part of Laos in order to resist the poverty and promote rights equality and provide technical assistance in the vocational development.
