Qatar Sports Press Committee Launches AIPS Online Card Registration

Doha, February 20 (QNA) - The Qatari Sports Press Committee (QSPC) launched Monday in association with the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) the online registration and renewal of AIPS membership cards for the committee affiliates. Chairman of the Qatari Sports Press Committee Mohammed Al Malki said specific steps for the online registration process of the AIPS card were finalized. The steps are now complete and ready through the Arabic website of the association run by the committee. Al Malki further said,"The registration process has been facilitated either for the first time issuance of the card or the renewal of the old one. The committee affiliates can now log on to the AIPS Arabic website www.aipsarabic.com and go directly to the "AIPS cards" section and follow the procedures that would entirely take no more than a couple of minutes either to issue a new card or to renew it. He pointed out that there is an elaborated guideline to facilitate the process for those seeking a new membership card or renewing it. QSPC Chairman Al-Malki went on to say that the card will be issued after 15 days of application and paying symbolic fees. Concluding Al Malki said that this new technique is considered a dramatic shift for the committee s work style and the ability to cope up with the new era. It s noteworthy that the AIPS has assigned the Qatari Sports Press Committee the task of inaugurating and running the official Arabic website of the AIPS after it has been released during the meeting of the executive office of the AIPS held in Doha earlier in December 2011.
