Cultural Village Events Conclude Thursday, Friday

Doha, February 29 (QNA) - Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage announced Wednesday the conclusion of the cultural village events tomorrow Thursday and after tomorrow Friday. Running since the last three months, the cultural village events appealed to the public with the performance of the local popular bands and the participation of Arab and foreign communities. Cultural village supervisor, Mohammad Al Jaber told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the village is considered one of the entertainment attractions crowded with audience due to the diversity of popular arts and cultures it showcases. He noted that the cultural and heritage sides are vital attributes that should be presented to the village visitors via bonding the conventional handcrafts and old crafts of history together with our present and working on preserving them. Al Jaber added that the village is aimed at presenting a wide variety of programmes and events as well as attracting the children to all the popular games of heritage, in addition to preserving Qatar's identity through the introduction of all kinds of other popular arts of heritage to the community. The cultural village is having the norm of presenting entertainment and cultural activities on all occasions in pursuit of creating an air of open communication and access to all kinds of arts and crafts in Doha.
